Finding Your Passion & Purpose

discovering what brings you joy and meaning in your life …

The question ‘what is my purpose?’ could be considered the most crucial question ever. As things in the world appear to become shallower and more superficial, I wonder if our desire and need to understand our purpose grows.

For some people the answer to this question comes easily – they simply know and sense why there are here and what gives their life meaning. It’s as if they are born knowing and have never had to question it. For others its less straightforward and their answer may be hidden or lost in the busyness, daily challenges and distractions of their life.

Inertia and low motivation or stress may be indicators that what we are doing isn’t supporting our purpose. When we are on purpose things appear more straightforward and obvious.

So if you’re not sure what your purpose is, it may be worth taking some time to ponder and reflect on, who you are; why you are here and what contribution you want to make.

As you reflect its also useful to remind yourself what are you passionate about. Its your purpose, at a conscious or unconscious level that drives your passion.  Another useful question, and a favourite of mine is to ask yourself “What makes my heart sign?”
